Thunderbird - A new and free email client from Mozilla
1. Once you have installed Thunderbird, double click on the application and you will have the option to import settings fro other common email applications. This is the time to do so if this is what you plan on doing. 2. Otherwise, you will have the option to setup a new email account. See iamge to the right and select "Email Account" and click "Next". |

| 3. Fill in your real name and your email account information as shown below and then Click "Next". | ![]() |
4. Fill in either mail.internetextension.com or mail.sagerat.com for your IMAP and SMTP mail server as shown in the image to the right. |

6. The "Accout Name" is entered next. This information is not that critical. It is merely to give an easy means of indentification

| 7. Once you have have clicked "Next", you have completed the account setup and the following window will appear showing you an extract of the data you have configured the account with. | ![]() |
| 8. After you click on the "Finish"button, you will return to the mail Thhunderbird email window. Then, a window asking you for your password will appear so you can enter it and authenticate with the email servers. You can select "Use Password Manager to remember this password so that you do not have to always reenter your password. | ![]() |
Go to "Tools" and select "Account Settings". Then, under your email account on the left, you will see "Server Settings", click on that category. Insure That Server Type is IMAP Mail Server. Port is 143. Connection Security is STARTTLS. Authentication Method is Normal Password.

Go to "Tools" and then "Account Settings". Go to the bottom of the list on the left to "Outgoing Server (SMTP)". Specifically, you must change the Port to 587. Not the default port 25. The Connection Security is STARTTLS. The Authentication Method is Normal Password. |
